2015 FIT Touch World Cup Event Overview

Please find enclosed the event overview for the 2015 Federation of International Touch (FIT) World Cup (2015 TWC), aligned with the attached Expression of Interest (EOI) form of which we are seeking a response by Wednesday, 11 December, 2013.

New FIT Positions

The Federation of International Touch (FIT) is the executive body for Touch globally and manages all aspects of the sport. One of the key areas of responsibilities for FIT is to improve the ongoing development of all female participants, including players, coaches, and referees; and another is to improve the ongoing development of all players at all stages of development. Introducing and developing Touch for children and youth is regarded by FIT as essential for the expansion and continuity of the sport.

Touch made it's way onto Europe's Setanta TV channel recently, in what is believed to be a first for the northern hemisphere.

Europe's Biggest Mixed Tournament Chargers Ahead

If proof was needed that Touch is an exploding sport across the UK, the fifth annual Manchester Touch Championships was it. Twenty four (24) teams made their way from all four corners of the country to William Hulme Grammar School, to firstly pitch their tent and secondly try and stake their claim to a piece of silverware. Hosted by Manchester Chargers, this year's competition was the biggest mixed division club competition in Europe, with teams competing in five divisions — men's, women's and three mixed (Premiership, Championship and Division 1).
