Touch Football Australia is pleased to announce that Coffs Harbour, NSW, will host the prestigious 2015 Federation of International Touch (FIT) Touch World Cup.

Touch Football Australia is pleased to announce that Coffs Harbour, NSW, will host the prestigious 2015 Federation of International Touch (FIT) Touch World Cup.

The world's best Touch players will make their way to Coffs Harbour through Sydney in April 2015 to showcase their international skills, agility and speed in the 8th instalment of the FIT Touch World Cup (dates 29 April to 3 May 2015); 14 years after Australia last hosted the event. The FIT Touch World Cup event has previously been held in Australia twice: on the Gold Coast for the inaugural event in 1988 and Sydney in 1999.With Touch Football enjoying sustained growth expanding its footprint and presence on the global stage, it is anticipated that this will be the biggest World Cup to date, with over 100 teams from up to 30 nations expected to take part in Touch Football's flagship international event.Speaking at the official announcement in Coffs Harbour, Mr Colm Maguire, Touch Football AustraliaCEO, said that the decision to select Coffs Harbour as the venue was as much to do with its appeal as a vibrant regional, coastal centre and tourism destination as an elite sporting destination and venue."We are delighted to announce Coffs Harbour, NSW, as the host venue for the 2015 FIT Touch World Cup, and as the host nation, we conducted a very thorough Expression of Interest and assessment process in order to source suitable hosts for the World Cup and upcoming Touch Football events.
