The day has commenced with the Women’s division match, which started strongly and with 12 minutes left on the clock for the first half the score was 4 all and even with the fact that the game moved from one end to the other the half time score remained at 4 all.
Ten minutes into the second half the invitational team scored after a Japanese player was caught offside. The invitational team then, over a period of seven minutes were three touchdowns in front. Japan then responded with two touchdowns to bring the score 7 to 6, then right as the end hooter sounded the Invitational team scored and the end score for the match was invitational team 8 and Japan 6.
The men’s match started with a brace of tries from the invitational team continued until half time
with the score at 7 to 0 the Japanese men's team was not in a good place. The invitational team were the first to score in the second half and things looked bad for the Japanese, however in the next 15 minutes Japan scored 5 touchdowns and with 4 minutes to go the score was at 8 to the invitational team and 5 to Japan and once again right at full time the invitation team scored a magnificent touchdown and the final score was Invitational team 9 Japan 5. All in all a great match.
At the end of this match New Zealand Touch presented a plaque to the Japanese Tour Party and thanked Japan for their performances and presence at the 2016 Trans Tasman series
