We've all endured the physical strain when a game goes into drop-off (extra time) and both teams get down to 3 or 4 players each .. but imagine playing a game of Touch Football for 30 hours straight!

Well that's exactly what a 28 die-hard Touchies from Mackay Touch Association in Queenland, Australia, did recently ... and broke a Guinness World Record in the process.

Starting at 7.00am on Saturday morning, the two teams battled it out all day and throughout the night, and until 1.00pm on Sunday to claim the record ... which was previously set at 27 hours by Emerald Touch (also in Australia). The final scoreline was 447-428, with Blue triumphant over Pink.

Not only was the event a Guiness record, but the weekend was also a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia.

Organiser Katie Geiger said that the weekend was a huge success and was very rewarding to be a part of.

"We set ourselves this massive challenge way back in February and it's finally happened! To say I'm proud is such an understatement,' Geiger said.

The Federation of International Touch would like to congratulate Mackay Touch Association on their achievement.
