It was all Australia on the final day of the Super Trans Tasman Open series in Auckland; but unfortunately it was little consolation for the reigning world champs, as New Zealand had already taken out the 2013 Trans Tasman Open Championship on the back of their series wins in the Mens & Mixed Open divisions!

Despite a spirited fightback in the final clash, Australia continued it's dominance of the Womens Open division, taking a 3-0 series whitewash under the guidance of super-coach, Peter Bell ... arguably Australia's greatest elite level coach.

The Mixed Open - a division the kiwis have all but made their own in recent times - once again produced some big scorelines to entertain the crowds; and whilst the aussies turned it on in the final encounter, the Touch Blacks had already inflicted the damage, reclaiming the Trans Tasman MXO crown they lost in 2012.

The last meeting of the world super-powers in the Mens Open division was all one-way green & gold traffic, but not so in 2013. New Zealand put some flavour back into international Touch after claiming the Trans Tasman scalp in their first two games of the series .. only the second time the men in black have taken home the trophy in the history of the Trans Tasman.
