The Women’s Commission was established by the FIT Sports Development arm in 2014. The purpose of the Women’s Commission is to provide global standards for:
- The Development, recognition and promotion of female players, coaches and referees;
- The Standards and codes of conduct for the management of, and behaviour towards women in Touch

Women's Commission Chair - Ms. Nadeema Levy
Nadeema Levy has been Chair of the Women's Commission since 2014. Her role is to grow this Commission and to develop programs to enhance the development of Women globally. These programs will align with the FIT Coaching Commission and FIT Referees Commission education programs, competencies, performance and assessments. She will promote gender equality and the empowerment of women in touch at every level of the sport by implementing policies and programs across the various regions. Nadeema has been involved in touch since 1996 in her home country of South Africa as a player, manager and volunteer. She has been actively involved in the establishment of touch clubs and has specifically grown the female player numbers within South Africa. She is the current manager of the South African Women’s Open Team at the 2015 TWC and also managed the Senior Mixed team at the 2011 World Cup in Scotland.
