Australia Announce National Open Teams

Touch Football Australia is very proud to announce the players who will represent Australia in the Open divisions at the 2011 FIT World Cup to be held in Scotland in June.

On the 10th September 2010, 28 players (14 women and 14 men) from the Emerald Touch Association in Queensland, Australia, started playing touch at 2.00pm on Saturday and just kept playing to see if they could break a World Record. The first time ever attempted in the World! The day grew into afternoon, then into night - the lights went on, the music played, a talent quest performed and still they played... Into the night - to the wee early morning when the fog started to come in and the players put on a few wooly clothes, but still they played... The sun peaked through the shallow clouds, the physiotherapists came back to massage more players, the first aiders tendered to a dislocated thumb, sprained ankles and sore throats but still, they played...
FIT Referee Panel

The Federation of International Touch (FIT) is now calling for nominations to the FIT Referee Panel. The term of appointment will be for four (4) years. The respective appointment period commences post World Cup e.g. from TWC2011 in June 2011 and extends through to TWC2015 in Australia in 2015.

Touch is back in Tonga, and Tonga National Touch (TNT) is Tonga's newly revamped national Touch Football Association. The Association's first official weekly competition kicked off last November and has a month to run until finals.
