The Federation of International Touch (FIT) has announced that Steeden has been chosen as a global partner for the next World Cup cycle.
Following a stringent tender process, FIT has selected Steeden as the provider of touch footballs for all FIT events for the period up to and including the Touch World Cup in New Zealand in 2028.
FIT Chief Operations Officer, Chris Simon, is delighted to be working with the team at Steeden:
“We are extremely pleased with the outcome of what was a very competitive tender process. We received a number of excellent proposals and would like to thank all those that took the time to engage with us.
“We decided to split the provision of touch balls from the wider apparel tender and I am excited that we will be working with Rebecca Gray and the team at Steeden over the next three to four years. They are considered by many to be the best provider of touch footballs, and I am looking forward to working with the team to maximise the opportunity for FIT and our member NTOs.”
Steeden returns to the international touch game and will be providing both event specific branded balls as well as a new FIT stock design. The new FIT ball is expected to be available from October/November, whilst event branded balls will be sold at all FIT events, starting with the forthcoming Asia Pacific Youth Touch Cup next month in Moreton Bay, Queensland. National Touch Organisations (NTOs) will also be able to access bespoke designs for their own programmes of activity and events.
Nick Gray, Director of Sales & Marketing for Steeden said:
“We are thrilled to announce this global partnership with FIT. This partnership represents an exciting step for Steeden, as we look forward to being a part of the global growth of Touch and our brand, providing high quality balls to NTOs and creating meaningful opportunities for athletes worldwide.”
Details of how to order Touch balls from Steeden will be sent to NTOs directly via the official FIT email addresses.
